What You Will Do Obtain CPT and ICD‑10 diagnosis codes and other clinical information as required. Prepare documentation for Notification of Non‑covered Medicare Services and Advance Beneficiary notices. Determine operating room time needed and coordinate with facility to ensure scheduling and anesthesia coverage. Ensure scheduling packets are correct and timely. Obtain patient face sheets and required authorizations based on insurance types. Scan authorization notes into medical record. Collect procedure fees, verify physician credentialing, and confirm scheduling. Coordinate provider clinic and facility schedules, including provider time‑out, travel, meetings, and continuing medical education. Refer conflicts and procedural questions to Practice Manager or designee. Attend required meetings and participate in committees. Cross‑train as backup to other business office positions. Perform other general duties as assigned. Maintain surgery logs or other required practice or case tracking logs. Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or physicians office. BLS certification required.
