This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Penetration Tester (Remote) in the United States.

In this role, you will lead advanced penetration testing efforts across networks, applications, IoT systems, and infrastructures, identifying vulnerabilities and helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture. You will work closely with internal teams and clients, providing actionable insights and security recommendations while supporting pre-sales and technical consulting as needed. This position offers the opportunity to shape security testing methodologies, contribute to tool development, and stay at the forefront of emerging threats. Accountabilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing across hardware, software, networks, mobile devices, APIs, and cloud systems.
• Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities, producing clear and actionable reports for stakeholders.
• Develop and refine testing tools, scripts, and methodologies to advance the team’s capabilities.
• Contribute to improving security assessment processes and team knowledge.
• Provide subject-matter expertise during pre-sales engagements and client consultations.
• Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Support off-hours or occasional travel as needed to meet project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of general IT experience; at least 5 years in penetration testing or cybersecurity roles.
• Hands-on experience with IoT, medical devices, OT, or automotive systems security testing.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and attack vectors (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO).
• Proficient in networking, operating systems (*nix, Mac, Windows), cloud security, and secure development practices.
• Experience in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, C) is a plus.
• Certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CRTP, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
