Position Summary:

The Janitorial (Maintenance) position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all assigned areas of the facility. This includes cleaning floors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and other designated areas, as well as performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains in good condition.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in hallways, offices, restrooms, and other assigned areas

· Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap

· Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly

· Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, windowsills, and fixtures

· Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners

· Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor

· Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low

· Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of biohazard and chemical materials (if applicable)

· Lock and unlock doors and perform security checks as required

· Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary

· Collaborate with the Maintenance Technician on special projects or repairs as needed, which may involve the use of basic tools and fundamental plumbing skills.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus

· Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums/carpet cleaners)

· Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing for long periods

· Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, changing light bulbs, or reporting mechanical issues.

· Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

· Good time management and reliability

* Must have Level pass a background test and maintain and possess a Driver' License

Work Environment:

· Indoor and outdoor work environments

· Exposure to cleaning chemicals 

· Involve working evenings or weekends depending on facility needs
