Job Description

FCAH Aerospace is currently seeking an innovative, forward-thinking, and hands-on Director of IT to join our growing team! The Director of IT is a key strategic and operational leader responsible for developing and executing a forward-looking technological roadmap that aligns with the company's business objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role ensures that IT capabilities and services proactively support both current operations and future growth across multiple business units and locations. Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee the security of all systems, networks, and enterprise data. Regularly review and update security protocols and disaster recovery plans to ensure robust data protection and uninterrupted business operations.
  • Partner with senior management to provide thought leadership and lead the IT strategic planning process, developing and implementing a forward-looking technology roadmap, investment plan, and annual budget aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify and support systems to facilitate effective data utilization.
  • Enhance system capacity and maintain IT infrastructure by executing timely system upgrades and hardware improvements in alignment with the overall IT strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT team to execute the technology plan, ensure system uptime, and provide responsive, effective end-user support across 24/7 multi-site operations.
  • Review, recommend, and manage vendors, licensing agreements, and maintenance contracts for hardware, software, telecommunications, and office peripheral systems.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and the specific operational needs of the company.
  • Foster and sustain a culture of innovation across the organization by encouraging the adoption of new technologies, creative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required, Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience across multiple IT areas in a fast-paced, multi-site industrial context with at least 5 years of senior management experience.
  • Broad IT knowledge, best practices with network design/architecture, cybersecurity, hardware/software
  • Experience with acquisitions and corresponding integration
  • Proven experience partnering with high-growth, smaller companies to design, build, and scale IT infrastructure that supports rapid expansion and evolving business needs.
  • Extensive experience leading ERP conversions and system integrations, as well as implementing and integrating CRM platforms to streamline operations and enhance cross-functional efficiency.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker with the ability to develop and execute both long-term technology roadmaps and short-term operational plans to meet evolving business needs.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with diverse user groups, understand functional requirements, and navigate interdependencies to deliver effective, business-aligned IT solutions.
  • Skilled at translating complex IT concepts into clear, actionable language for non-technical leadership and stakeholders.
