Cafe Server/Starbucks Barista job at Canaan Valley Resort Davis, WV, US

Job Description

Position Overview: To greet and welcome guests in the Café and serve guests with food and beverage items from the Café menu. Essential Functions:

Take orders from guests in the Café including Starbucks drinks, coffee, tea, and other beverages and food items.
Operate point of sale system; take and process payments.
Prepare specialty coffee drinks including all drinks. Serve items to customers.
Prepare minor food prep and knowledge of safety and health procedures.
Provide prompt and courteous service to each guest.
Take inventory and replenish items as needed.
Keep workspace and dining area clean and well maintained.
Must work variable hours, AM and Pm, must be available to work some weekends and holidays
Answer questions on menu items and interact with guests in a positive and friendly manner.

Project a neat, clean and professional appearance.
Be articulate and able to communicate effectively to staff and guests including children, verbally and in writing.
Be committed to the highest standards of hospitality and express a sincere interest in the needs and comfort of guests.
Ability to remain calm in a stressful situation.
Be dependable, flexible and possess an even temperament.
