Responsibilities – Parts Counter Person:

• Provide top-notch customer service by assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories for their vehicles
• Support service technicians by accurately issuing parts for scheduled repairs and maintenance
• Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email regarding parts availability, pricing, compatibility, and lead times
• Utilize parts lookup systems, OEM catalogs, and online resources to source and order auto parts efficiently
• Manage parts orders, receive incoming shipments, and accurately replenish inventory
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked parts department and ensure proper labeling and storage
• Perform local parts deliveries and pickups as needed
• Maintain and update inventory control systems and parts database with accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements – Parts Counter Person:

 

• Previous experience working with GM parts in a dealership setting is REQUIRED
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in an Automotive Parts Counter or Parts Advisor role
• Strong knowledge of GM parts systems, OEM catalogs, and GM electronic parts ordering tools
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and dealership DMS software
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient with computers, online ordering systems, and point-of-sale software
• Ability to work full-time, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and lift automotive parts when necessary
• Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to accuracy and customer satisfaction
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
